Plain language, no fine print. This page covers what this website collects, why, and how to get it removed.
When you fill in a form
The calculator and the quote form ask for your name and email, and optionally your company and phone number. The quote form also takes the details of the workshop you're after. That information is emailed to me at hello@pinkcowboy.co.za and saved to a file on the website's server so a failed email never loses your enquiry.
I use it to reply to you and to prepare a quote. That's it. It is never sold, and it isn't added to a mailing list — there is no newsletter here.
Your IP address is stored alongside the submission. It's used only to limit spam and abuse.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google an anonymised version of your IP address, along with things like the page you're on, roughly where in the world you are, and what device you're using.
It's used to understand what's useful and what isn't. There is no advertising on this site, no retargeting, and no attempt to identify you personally.
If you'd rather not be counted, you can block it — every major browser lets you reject cookies, and Google publishes an opt-out browser add-on. Nothing on the site stops working if you do.
Who else sees it
Google, for the analytics described above. The company that hosts this website, because the files live on their server. Nobody else.
How long it's kept
Enquiries are kept while there's an active conversation and for a reasonable period afterwards for accounting purposes. Analytics data expires on Google's own schedule.
Your rights under POPIA
South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act gives you the right to ask what I hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Email hello@pinkcowboy.co.za and I'll sort it out — no forms, no process.
